Well, the short answer is that experience from my time on sports forums has shown me that Ronnie O'Sullivan fans are amongst the nicest people. When I ventured out to the likes of TSF and 606 I saw another side to "Snooker Fans" which I didn't like.

Ronnie's official forum was the first place I conversed with like minded individuals, and overwhelmingly, those people were the nicest people you could hope to have on a forum.

When I first opened this forum, I did so to all Snooker fans but it became clear that most spend their days with poor attitude problems and have no idea how to make a community work. Then Ronnie's official forum went downhill because of problems caused, on the whole, by the admins and moderators there. TSF and Ronnie's official forum (as well as others), seem to be awash with corruption. The mods and admins seem more interested in stroking their own ego's and palling up with famous snooker figures, than actually catering to the snooker fans.

I decided that I would make this forum a place for Ronnie O'Sullivan fans; a place which would work the same way that Ronnie's official forum used to. I think we can create a brilliant community here and I invite you to join us.

Daniel

I couldn't have put it better.
Nonetheless, a few words from me as well, as I'm convinced this place is one which works the way I want it to work.
Among other circumstances, I came here exactly at a time (what a happy coincidence) when I was having problems I couldn't put up with on the official Ronnie O'Sullivan Forum, too.
Things bore a certain similarity to what Dan has experienced, although not this severe.
I was able to read then that Dan wanted to make this place exactly the way I had hoped for, which I had imagined during my problem phase over at the official forum 'A forum would have to be ......', I had thought. And there it was...
Although it is still small which may astonish some people, we debate and communicate here with respect for one another and, as I see it, in friendship.
We can contradict at times without crossing the line to the bad behaviour which can be seen elsewhere.

I can only repeat now what Dan has said, be welcome to join us!

It is clear and it allows some nice pics and graphics. :) What do you think?

It is a shame too, because I didn't want to create a new forum at first. I just wanted Ronnie's official forum to look better. At that time I didn't know Phpbb3, but I made some valid criticisms of the design (that awful green eye sore) and I offered to help, especially with the logo. I was then accused of "Slagging off" the admin and the forum.

In fact at a much later time I offered to help sort the forum but the admin said "Don't need your help thankyou very much"

Instead Ron's official forum was put in the hands of people who quite simply couldn't care less and it has been allowed to turn into what it has. After all the trouble that went on at Ronnie's forum, I decided the only thing to do would be create my own and so here we are...

It is just a shame that the mods and admins on Ron's official forum are so condescending and petty.

I'm sure this site will grow.

Get it up on google
