I don't see it like that, seriously. I have no problem if I am forced to shut this place. It came to this because I am no longer prepared to carry on accepting idiots as a norm and have decided that I would rather have no forum than allow it.

If people think that oneball's will provide a better atmosphere then they may go there, if they want to attend both, I am ok with that too.

But the days of having 100 rule changes to geta balance that isn't there (because such people are beyond help) is over.

As I said. I really would rather close the forum than have them back.

Ok, just seems a shame because I fear that this place will get a lot more quieter now - anyway I still want to be able to enjoy and talk snooker and your decision at least gives me one more avenue in which to do that.

On Snooker-fanatic you'll see the final results of the UK? Why cannot we have the 2009/10 season forum back, it wont be tampered by the ones you dont like will it

I have decided that this place will cease being a proper forum. From now on, think of this place as somewhere to hang out and have 1 or 2 posts, maybe make some proper debate in the concentrated sections there are.

If you want full on debate and back to the same old, oneballs or 606 are the best places for that. I prefer this though, more respectable, no wum's and some genuine posts even if not as many.

I will also be using this so that we have our own area to post main articles because they get ruined elsehere.

All ex members
All posts and threads that were made before Dec 1st 2009
All members that had 0 posts and had been signed up since before January 2010

I will prune all members on 0 posts and no activity every 3 months.

All that was deleted was a load of insulting crap by the ex members anyway so the new standing is:

Member total has dropped from around 150 to 76. I consider this the new beginning, so let's make this place great and not like the other forums.

The colours are being changed to make this place look less like a morbid depressing eye sore. Due to hard disk failure I had the other day it will be a few days before I can complete this work.

I have discussed with equinox the idea of making this forum a Ronnie fan site, rather than General Snooker as it will give us a nice alternative to Ronnie's official forum which is moderated by rather unpleasant people and company.

The only draw back to this is it may deter some from joining, but since most people frequenting the big general snooker forums are unlikely to come here anyway (and nor would we welcome 90% of them), I don't see it as an issue.

It isn't as if Snooker talk will be outlawed and people will be restricted to saying how they adore everything O'Sullivan does or says, but it will provide an alternative place to the endless frustrating Anti-O'Sullivan cliques such as the majority of members on TSF, 606 and other forums.

Since Ronnie's official forum has gone way down hill with the moderator and admin there running amok with their best friend, I think it would be a good idea to finally give people a decent place to support Ronnie without having to tolerate either pathetic moderating or the despicable morons elsewhere.

Best of luck with that, but I'm not a massive O'Sullivan fan myself... he's one of my favourite players, but would probably be behind the likes of Robertson, Ding & Stevens for me to be honest. So if it does turn into an O'Sullivan site, I can't see myself being here a lot

Yup, that is a possible risk I may have to take. Not sure if I will yet but possibly. There are too many generic snooker sites to compete with and no one can compete with tsf no matter how good they are.

This is a temporary banner until I can remake it. I will either:

Keep the lower banner and add hendry to the lower part and then have more O'Sullivan in large, or simply just have O'Sullivan on the banner.

I would add Hendry, he also deserves to be there

I would definetely leave the other players there, to show we are still open for others, and I would do more of Ronnie at the top, maybe, if possible, the stages of his career, a pic from childhood up to the present Ronnie, this I would find nice....

Maybe add more colour to the Ronnies and leave the other players in sepia?

A question has been asked for people who want to register. It is a very simple question, and so far 0 spambots have got through. The image verification is now easier too.

As you can see I am updating the forum with one of those nice templates

After this is sorted and all bugs ironed out, I will finish that banner and the other graphics.
